Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories
Review by 4th
"Damn Analog Stick."
If I wrote this review saying this game was weak for any reason other than the controls, I would be lying. But the clunky controls are significant enough to bring the overall grade down to an eight out of ten.

Wow!
Thats right, I am giving this game a perfect score for its graphics. The graphics are simply amazing. If you are sitting at your computer thinking, is this guy crazy, well then my friend you are crazy. These graphics match the graphics for the previous GTA games which were on the PS2. And this game is portable. It is actually so amazing it almost looks photo-shopped. Of course, if you think I mean the graphics look realistic, then you are wrong, as all GTA fans should know, but for what they are, stupendous.

Did he really just say what I think he said?
The first thing I have to say about the audio, is WOW!! First off all, I did not think you could get away with some of the dialuge used. That's right, if you are worried about this game being to unappropriate for your child, or yourself, well what were you thinking its a GTA game! But in all seriousness, there is a lot of foul language used. so watch out for that. But I once again love the radio options while you are driving, I even have a few personal favorite stations that I always go to. Also the cars, trucks, buses, and mortercycles sound authentic. And... when you shoot a gun, it sounds like you..... shot a gun. The audio was very well done.
Controls:5/10
Aaaghh
As I previously stated the controls in the game are horrendous. You have to use the anolog stick to walk, which leads to walking in to walls, bad camera angles, and many many more annoyences. Turning around is nearly immpossible, so when you are in a shoot-off and you are out of ammo, you are better off running staight towards your counterpart, and beating him up, then turning and running away. Fortunately, the clucky controls mostly only affects you when you are a pedestrian. When you are driving, the controls are much more managable. They're not perfect, but they are fine. If you could only add one more analog stick, then things might be a little smoother.
Game play:9/10
Feels like old times
There is not much to say about the game play other than this. If you like Grand Theft Auto games, you will love playing this game. It plays just like the Grand Theft Auto games that were on the PS2. You steal a car, drive the car, drive it some more, and then maybe kill a guy or two. Sound boring? Easy? Well it really isn't. Don't know if you know, but stealing cars and murder is against the law so when you commit a crime, the cops will be after you. Also the other people who you are trying to shoot, will also shoot you. There are a lot of different motor vehicles to choose from including: almost every car imaginable, motorcycles and miniscooters, and the are trucks, vans and buses, This game will keep you busy, plus when you aren't doing a mission, just stealing cars, running people over, and trying to out run the cops is a lot of fun, trust me. The missions are great, the story is fun, and the play time is bountyful.

Greatness in usually still fun the second time around
I usually don't like to play a game after I've beaten it, I don't know why, but I've always been that way. But like I said, this game isn't only about the missions, and doing whatever else some big sweaty guy wants you to, just playing this game is fun. Steal a car, shoot a cop, run from cops, and shoot some more. It may sound dull, but really it isn't. Also the story is interesting enough to go a second time, or even a third time. So yeah, you can definitely play, and enjoy, this game more than once. Also, a fun tip: put some wacky codes on, give all pedestrians weapons, stuff like that, adds a few more hours of fun to the game.
Rent it, buy it, or pass it?
I would say buy, if you have a PSP, then you are probably already a fan of the series, so, it is definitely worth it, this game won't dissapoint.
