Daxter
Review by theblueottsel
"My favorite videogame character ever finally got his game!"
Well people, you have been waiting for it for many many months, and all your waiting has paid off.
Story-To really understand what this game is about, you must at least see the opening scene in Jak II. You know how after the first game he gets captured by Baron Praxis and after 2 years Daxter finds him and busts him out of jail? Well this game is about what Daxter did during those 2 years searching for his buddy. Mysterious creatures called Metal Bugs are suddenly swarming all over Haven City and Dax gets employed as a pest exterminator to get it all under control. And boy, the little fuzzy dude gets a LOT more than he bargined for.
Gameplay-This is like the other Jak games, but since your Daxter you can climb walls, crawl through small places, and you are really agile. Combat is pretty simple, you have a spray gun and an electric swatter thing as your main weapons. Uhhh...yeah. There are not to many bosses, but what little bosses this game has are HUGE. We are talking the size of a house. My not sound like much if playing as Jak but if your a little 2 foot tall ottsel, well, they can be pretty menacing.
Graphics-Needless to say, this is the best looking PSP game to date. Honestly, to me the graphics were indistiguishable from Jak games on PS2. No, I am not making that up.
Replay Value-Well, the simple fact that you play Daxter is reason enough to make you want to play this game over, but there many secrets, orbs, and cheats to unlock so you may want to play it over a few times to get everything.
Well, this is one of the best looking and most fun PSP games to date. You would have to be an idiot to not want Daxter. Honestly, the only bad thing is that it is pretty short, but this game is just so darn good you will want to play it over and over. A 10 out of 10 and worthy edition to your PSP library. Go get it!
