FIFA Soccer 06

Review by mast3rdisaster

"Fifa's got a score to settle with Pro Evo is EA's latest weapon of mass destruction"

Fifa's is probably the most known soccer game out their. EA Sports have continued to keep building new Fifa games for over a decade now. As most of you know the PSP has outstanding graphics and this game is no exception. Fifa lets you control practicly ever known soccer team each with different strengths and weaknesses.

Fifa's main part of the game is probably the Challenges and Season Mode these modes will entertain you for the time being and prove worthy of some skill and a challenge. Fifa's controls are a bit unpractical which the analog being a hassle, shots hard to aim on target, stealing the ball of your opponents and having to hold down that pesky right trigger for just about the whoile match. Nevertheless the graphics and the fun make up for that. Fifa 06 has to be the hardest soccer game ever created. I have trouble beating all the challenges and winning matches on Amateur (the easiest difficulty). Fifa is extremely fun with lots of exciting challenges and the outstandingly addictive Juggling wich is like a Dance Dance Revoloution type of game for soccer. Playing against friends will be fun and know doubt cause a lot of arguments. This game allows you to change kits, stadiums, balls and customize your own portable soundtrack. You can choose your team line-up, tactics and decide who takes which kicks. The depth of all the players is quite astonishing having different stats such as Composure, Longshot, Creativity, Dribbling etc.

The graphics of Fifa 06 are perfect nearly PS2 equivalent, but seeing as though you can play it anywhere I give it thumbs up. The graphics of Fifa are not comparable to any other soccer games on PSP (except maybe Pro Evo) come close to Fifa's equivalent. Their are barely any glitches and the loadtimes aren't very long. The commentary can be annoying and indiscisive but it can be a pleasure if there saying positive comments about you. The sound of kicking the ball is weird and silly but the other sounds especially when the ball hits the net are spectaculiar.

The playtime for Fifa 06 should last you a good 80 hours to entirely clock the game (depends on the matchtime). I'd pressume this game would get a bit boring and repetitive for most gamers at around 25-30hours. The challengers might be worth playing again and the juggling will know doubt keep you entertained for years. Playing against friends will increase the life-span immensely. But I believe this game will last 3 years before never wanting to touch it again.

I believe this game should be borrowed or rented of a friend and be the only game you play for that time (so you can clock it). This is because once you get bored of the soccer matches and repetitive season modes you just can't be bothered playing this. If you are die hard Fifa games or soccer guru's I would reccommend buying this. But if you wan't a awesome graphical game choose Fifa if you want easy controls/more realistic choose Pro Evo.
