"GBA good or bad?"

Intro.

The Game Boy Advance came out a couple of weeks ago and I have been playing in non stop. I like it it is small enough for your pockets, durable in case you drop it and every bit as good as the SNES or even better. Now on to the rest of the review while I do this review I would like to state some things about its accessories. 1. The Light Shield Advance is a light that can be attached to the top of the GBA and works well except for one problem that it seems to have. If you try to use a AC adapter with the Light Shield the GBA will power off every time you try to turn it on. It works fine however with batteries and car adapters. Now on with the review!

Graphics 9/10: They look good the screen is bigger so more things can be displayed at once. The only bad thing about it is the colors aren't as bright on GBC games however the people currently making GBC games are planning on fixing this.

Sound 10/10: I love the sound it surpasses by far the power of the speaker on the GBC. It is also great through headphones

Game Compatibility 7/10: I do this cause some GBC games tend to come out darker then normal also some older GB games don't work right some sounds are messed up etc.

Controllability 8/10: The controls are good except after long periods of play holding the GBA can cause some muscle cramps this mainly happens when using the L & R button many times.

System Design 9/10: Great design lousy button placement the design looks a lot sleeker than the GBC design and still is small enough to be travel size. The only complaint I can see people having is the L&R button placement it would have been better to have them where the X & Y buttons were on the SNES controller. Also people with big hands tend to put their thumb on the right side of the screen causing finger prints ^_^.

Lasting Interest 10/10: This is one of the best hand held systems out there in my opinion with the future ability to hook up to the Nintendo Game Cube and be used as a controller for it. I believe this is a good system that will last a long time with as many games that it can play and the many new ones to come this item is a must have!

Overall 9/10: It is a great system and will last for many years. The likeliness of us seeing another Game Boy system out in the US is most certain in all aspects. This system is portable can go just about anywhere and can play loads of games a great addition to the Game Boy family.
