About Me [ABME]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
I have been an avid fan of the Super Smash Bros. series ever since
it came out. I was always a good player, being able to win tournaments
and beat others who challenged me. This is my first FAQ, though I
thought about making others many times, and decided to created this
FAQ when I saw my main, Lucas, did not have a FAQ. I plan on making
this FAQ as complete as I can and creating more FAQs to come.
I hope this FAQ helps you find what you want to find.

Lucas [LCAS]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Background [BKND]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Lucas was one of the main characters in the Game Boy Advance
game, Mother 3. Below is a basic plot summary of the part
of the game that involved Lucas.
Lucas lived in Tazumili Village with his his father Flint, mother
Hinawas, and twin brother Claus. Life was good for Lucas until
one day a Drago killed his mother. Claus went to go kill the
Drago but was killed himself. Porky, an evil dictator, had
decided he would assimilate all of Nowhere Island to his
technological empire and started to modernize the
island. He imprisons all who don't adapt to his
way, which included Lucas. Lucas and his family and
friends banded together to stop Porky. To do this
Lucas searched for the Seven Needles, which could be used to
awaken a dragon beneath the island that had great power.

Differences from Ness [DFFN]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
While Ness and Lucas are quite similar there moves are and attack
speeds are different.
Lucas’s B attack is PK Freeze which is fast and freezes opponents,
Ness’s B attack is PK Flash which is slow and powerful.
Lucas’s S-Smash is a twig
Ness’s is a baseball bat.
Lucas uses psychic blasts for his U-Smash and D-Smash
Ness uses a yo-yo.
Lucas’s PK Fire goes straight no matter what and has push bac
Ness’s goes downward when used in the air and when
it hits an opponent
it creates a pillar that holds the foe and continues to damage it.
Lucas’s FS goes straight down
Ness’s has a fan shape.
As you can see they are quite different and
play differently.
You could hardly call these two clones.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Fighting Style and How to Fight [FSHF]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Lucas is a fighter that is better at keeping his distance.
His smashes have decent range and they have good push. His special
attacks are good at stopping his opponents; PK Fire stops foes
and pushes them back, PK Freeze freezes foes, and PK Thunder can
pushes foes back quite away. Lucas’ U-Smash and D-Smash attack
all around him (The D-Smash only dealing damage very close to behind him)
which help with hitting your opponent unexpectedly. To use his
S-Smash, it is best roll behind your opponent then you can
unleash the stick.
To win with Lucas move, strike fast, then move again, keeping your distance
using launching attacks.
Keep these things in mind fighting:
-Lucas can be sent flying fairly easily so dodge those attacks.
-Lucas is vulnerable when he uses his PK attacks and if you miss
your opponent they will have a clear shot at you, so don’t
miss your attacks.
-Rolling and air dodging will be your best friend.
-Never go out of your way to use PSI Magnet or
you will end up with more damage and being sent flying.
-Try to be unpredictable, this keeps your opponent
on their toes and makes it harder for them to hit you.
-If your opponents are running at you, ready a PK Missile
to do some hefty damage.
-When you are uphill on a slope use your D-Smash,
it goes diagonally downward with the slope.
-If your opponent is hanging on the edge of the stage,
use your D-Smash to knock them off.

How to Fight Other Characters [HFOC]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Mario [HC01]
Difficulty: 3 / 5
Fighting Mario should not be too much of a hassle. You do not
want to engage him in aerial combat as his aerials are superior.
His smashes can really hurt you if they hit so be sure to dodge
those. His grabs are easy to dodge but if do get grabbed be
prepared for Mario's good throws. Mario can also have you
being juggled easily so stay out of those scenarios.
Mario can reflect your PK attacks so be very cautious of that.
As long as you don't find yourself being juggled or fighting
in the air, you should be fine.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Donkey Kong [HC02]
Difficulty: 3 / 5
DK, much like Mario, has good air game so once again, stay grounded.
His smashes are strong as are his specials, so you will want to
play more defensively against him. His spikes can also send you for
a loop when you are trying to recover so steer clear of that.
Try to use your powerful smashes on him and try to keep
sending him flying across the stage. Sometime the best offense
is a good defense.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Link [HC03]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Link should not be much of a problem at all. Link is slow so
use your smashes to send him flying and then keep him flying.
Link has some good smashes as well and his foward smash has
that sneaky second hit, so be cautious. As long as you don't
let Link too close, for too long, you should do fine.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Samus [HC04]
Difficulty: 1 / 5
Samus will be one of your easier match-ups. She's floaty so
when she jumps be sure to use your U-Smash. She can use her
floatiness however to try and hit you while you prepare
PK Missile, so try to recovery as soon as possible.
Samus should give you no trouble, unlike her other form...
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Zero Suit Samus [HC05]
Difficulty: 4 / 5
Oh dear, a fast one. ZSS will be much trickier than normal
Samus. She is fast and that will make her hard to hit with
most of your smashes, she can also use her Bv to jump over
or away from you when you try to use them. Her side special
can be really annoying and powerful when she dodges one of your smashes
then uses it while you finish its execution. PK Fire will be
helpful since it is quick and will knock her away, giving you
time to prepare for a stronger attack. Just keep attacking and
trying to knock her off her balance and you should do fine.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Yoshi [HC06]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Yoshi is not one hard cookie. You will want to use your normal
strategies but beyond that look out for his throws and his B
so that he doesn't get any free hits on you. Just keep smashing
Yoshi away and it won't be long before Yoshi goes extinct.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Kirby [HC07]
Difficulty: 4 / 5
Kirby is not too fast but he has trick up his sleeves.
If he hits you in the air he can rack up some damage on you
and if his grabs are pretty tough. Your U-Smash will
not always be the best thing to do because he could decide to
just land a B-Down on you and send you flying. His smashes
are decently quick and if he sends you flying with them,
he will keep you in the air flying until you get some
type of attack on him.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Fox [HC08]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Fox is fast like Zero Suit Samus so be wary of that, also stay away
from PK attacks, though the PK Missile is fine against him,
as his reflector, well… reflects. Use PSI Magnet when he spams his
blaster. He is vulnerable if he misses with his attacks so dodge
then hit. He goes flying fairly easily so use them smashes!
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pikachu [HC09]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Once again the speed may be and issue, so slow him down with PK Fire.
PSI Magnet works on his thunder
jolt and only the lighting part of thunder, not Pikachu himself. Watch
out for his S-Smash, it can knock you around a bit. If you avoid his
smashes and hit him with your own while dodging his spam of specials,
you should have not problem.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Bowser [HC10]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and you
should be fine, what with Bowser's slowness.
PSI Magnet works on his fire breath but don’t
stay that close to him for that long. PK Thunder works wonders at
keeping him away. Try to freeze him then launch him with a
smash. Be sure to dodge his smashes but he honestly can not
keep you in the air for long, but the damage is still something
we could do without.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Peach [HC11]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and you
should be fine, also be wary of her Toad. Your PSI Magnet does
NOT work against her turnips. She is easy to send flying so
use your smash attacks. Her side special can be annoying at times
so counter with PK Fire to keep her from spamming it.
Her floatiness is easily counter by you U-Smash, especially
when she is recovering from with her parasol.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Zelda [HC12]
Difficulty: 3 / 5
-elda, Zelda, Zelda. She is difficult yet easy at the same time.
Her Nayru’s Love reflects your PK attacks, minus PK Missile
though it may stop it, and if she spams Din’s Fire use PSI Magnet.
Her smashes can send you whirling and she will try to keep
you at a distance with Din's Fire. Her recovery will make it harder
to keep her in the air so just hit her with another smash when
she returns to the stage.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Sheik [HC13]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
She is another fast one so be wary. PSI Magnet works against her
needles so use that to your advantage if she does use them. She
doesn't have that strong push back with her attacks so
use her smashes against her. If she gains momentumn on you with her
speed, if find that using short hops to use aerials is a good
way to knock her off it.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Ice Climbers [HC14]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
PSI Magnet does work against their icicles. Try to keep the distance
as they can send you flying quite a bit. They have hammers
which give them some extra range so try to dodge their attacks
then attack or freeze them then attack. Their double-duo-ness
is annoying so try to use your smashes to separate them and then
they are no problem at all.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Meta Knight [HC15]
Difficulty: 4 / 5
He isn’t really fast and he doesn’t have many moves to send you
flying until high damage so be careful of the damage he can build up. When
he tried to recover hit him with PK Thunder. He does however have
high priority attacks and most of his specials can be used as recovery.
His special attacks are better at killing than his normal attacks so
be weary, and avoid him knocking you into the air.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pit [HC16]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Use PSI Magnet when he spams his arrows and be careful of his
reflecting shield. Try to halt his recoveries with your PK attacks.
Try to stop him from gaining momentum with his attacks,
keep sending him off the stage until he can't recover. He is
somewhat floaty so use your smashes against him and he should
be no problem.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Wario [HC17]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and you
should be fine. He is strong, so treat him like you would with
other power characters, dodge then strike, or keep him distanced.
It may help to
weaken him with your PK attacks then hit him with your smashes.
Beware of his good aerial game and his fully charged Down
special.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Ike [HC18]
Difficulty: 3 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and
you should be fine. Don’t let him hit you, it will hurt.
Treat him like other power characters by distancing him. His
smashes hurt like hell and his side special can be tricky
when he is trying to get hits on you. Start off using your
Pk's then follow through with some smashes.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pokemon Trainer [HC19]
Difficulty: 3 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and
you should be fine. None of the pokemon should be able to hurt
you too badly if you are careful, just don't let Charizard
hit you and try to keep aerial attacks to a minimum
against Ivysaur. Ivysaur is the only character with a stronger
U-Smash than Lucas so AVOID it! Ivysaur will put up more of a fight
than the other Poke'mon, so be cautious of him. Just hit
Squirtle with smashes, treat Charizard like any other heavy
weight, and keep aerials to a minimum against Ivysaur.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Diddy Kong [HC20]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and
you should be fine. Toss those bananas back at him, always fun
to use them against him. Hit him with smashes to make him
fly. His S-Smash can send you flying so watch out for that. Diddy
should not put up much of a fight at all against you, just
keep him flying with those smashes.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Lucas [HC21]
Difficulty: 4 / 5
PSI Magnet will be your friend and enemy. When he uses his PKs
(minus missile) use PSI Magnet. Try to hit him with
smashes to send him flying. He also has all of your smashes though
so be extra careful. You want to keep him in the air because that
is where Lucas is weakest.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
King Dedede [HC22]
Difficulty: 3 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and
you should be fine. Your PSI Magnet does NOT work against his
Waddle Dee throw. Treat him like other power characters. His attacks
are somewhat delayed much like Lucas's so be extra careful for that.
Also beware of his chain throwing.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Olimar [HC23]
Difficulty: 1 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and
you should be fine. Your PSI Magnet does NOT work against his
Pikmin throw. Use smashes to make him fly. None of Olimars attacks
should make you worry at all so just keep swinging at him and
you should do just fine.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Ness [HC24]
Difficulty: 4 / 5
Same as Lucas strategy except for the fact that Ness has a
better aerial game than Lucas and his attacks are different.
Keep him flying but do not follow through by attacking him
in the air with aerials.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Marth [HC25]
Difficulty: 5 / 5
Bleck! Marth is one of the best characters against Lucas so you
have to be extra careful. Marth is pretty fast as are his attacks,
so that is already working against you. His sword is more powerful
at a distance so you will want to be really close or PK Fire distance
away. I suggest using your PK's to weaken him and then use
you smashes to finish the job. Just be sure to stay EXRTA careful.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Luigi [HC26]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Luigi is much like Mario... except easier. His attacks are
around the same power, but he does not have that annoying cape.
His B^ is easy to punish and his >B is easy to dodge.
Just use your smashes and this will be a piece of cake.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Falco [HC27]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
As Luigi is to Mario, Falco is to Fox. His smashes are different
and his B is much less spammable, though it now has push back.
Punish his B with PK Magnet and avoid using your other PK's
since he can reflect them. Smashes will be your best friend
in this fight.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Captain Falcon [HC28]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
He is fast but some of his attacks
has slow attack execution, take advantage of that (Falcon Punch
im looking at you).
Dodge then strike. If his attacks hit you, you are in for some
damage.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Lucario [HC29]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Slow attacks so take advantage of that. Your PSI Magnet does work
against
his Aura Sphere. When he hits you, it hurts, so try to dodge his smashes,
especially when you have him up in the higher percentages. He is
decently easy to send flying though to just keep whacking.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
R.O.B [HC30]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and
you should be fine. Your PSI Magnet does work against his laser
but NOT his top disk. His D-Smash is his quick attack so you will
want to dodge that. He has a good recovery... until it runs out of
gas, so use your PK's to keep him in the air and your smashes
to send him into the air.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Mr. Game & Watch [HC31]
Difficulty: 5 / 5
Mr. Game & Watch can be a little more tricky than other characters.
His smashes are quick, as is his speed, and his B^ can
be hard to stop. PSI Magnet does work against his bacon.
Be sure not to fill his bucket, he will take no damage and then
give you massive damage with high push back. Avoid those smashes of
his!
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Ganondorf [HC32]
Difficulty: 1 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and
you should be fine. Just like Captain Falcon except he is also slow.
Dodge then strike. He is a much, much easier version of Capt. Falcon.
Should pose no problem at all.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Jigglypuff [HC33]
Difficulty: 1 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and
you should be fine. Use those smashes. Her "Wall of Pain"
can be a real pain, especially since Lucas can not fight well in
the air. Jiggly should be no problem however if you dodge
her aerial combos and thwack her with your twig.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Toon Link [HC34]
Difficulty: 3 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and
you should be fine. PSI Magnet does not work against his bombs.
He is fast so keep on your feet. He is Link except harder, so
watch out for his tricky two-hit F-Smash. As with most sword
users, I suggest you weaken with PK's then procede with
smashes. Aim your PK's well though, or else you will
get punished by Toon Link's speed.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Wolf [HC35]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
See Fox’s strategy. Except this guy is slower and more powerful.
Treat him like every other heavy weight and you should do just
fine. Be weary of his quick up and side special though,
they can get some easy hits on you.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Snake [HC36]
Difficulty: 4 / 5
His bombs don’t work with PSI Magnet. Just use the “move, strike fast,
then move again” method and you should be fine. Dodge then strike.
Like Lucas and DDD, he also has delayed hits and sneaky attacks.
His AAA combo and tilts can do some awesome damage so keep on the move
while baraging him with PK's, with a follow up of some smashes.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Sonic [HC37]
Difficulty: 2 / 5
Just use the “move, strike fast, then move again” method and you
should be fine. He is VERY fast however so be wary.
Smashes should make him fly quite a bit. Despite his speed,
he is sent flying easily so he should pose minimal threat
to you.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
How to Fight on Stages [HTFS]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
With all of the below strategies also keep the above
strategies in mind.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Battle Field [HF01]
Battlefield is a good stage for Lucas. Try to get under
opponents on platforms and use his U-Smash. If you use
your S-Smash then watch for your opponent to come back
and hit them with PK Thunder. When they recover to the
edge of the stage, ready a D-Smash if they roll up or a
U-Smash if they jump up.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Final Destination [HF02]
This stage will be harder than Battlefield for the reason
that your U-Smash will not be as effective. Some attacks that
will now become more useful are PK Fire and PK Missile.
PK Missile will help with groups or with one on one and
PK Fire will help mostly one on one. You could also use
some PK Freezes against distant or recovery
opponents.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Delfino Plaza [HF03]
While on the traveling platform treat it like Battlefield.
When you land, try to find a sunken in area and use
your U-Smash or find a flat area for PK Missile and Fire.
Use your D-Smash when you are going against opponents
who are in the sunken areas.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Luigi's Mansion [HF04]
When fighting on this course you must remember that
only the middle platforms are able to be jumped and
fallen through. Your U-Smash isn't quite large enough
to attack from base height to the second row of platforms
but it is from the first. You might find it helps to
destroy the Mansion because then PK Fire and Missle
will then be much easier for you to use.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Mushroomy Kingdom [HF05]
No matter if you are above or underground push back
attacks will be your friend. This stage takes up the whole
screen to if you attack an opponent near the end towards off
the screen, they will die very easily. Use this to your
advantage and lure them to the edge of the screen, then
knock them into it. Just becareful not to be knocked that
way yourself.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Mario Circuit [HF06]
You want to stay on the edges of this stage, for reasons
much like Mushroomy Kingdom. In addition, you can also
use your U-Smash to attack the platforms above the far
edges. However, much like Mushroomy Kingdom, you must
be careful not to get hit yourself.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Rumble Falls [HF07]
This stage also has the Mushroom Kingdom edges so you once
again can use that strategies. You also could stay near
the bottom to stop your opponent from climbing or you
can stay near the top and use your U-Smash which will
knock them up high. Your U-Smash will be helpful on
this stage.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Bridge of Eldin [HF08]
Yet again we have those wonderful edges. Do as you would
do with the other stages like this and you should be fine.
Just becareful for the Goblin King since he spawns from the
edges you won't have much time to respond to his
appearance. You can also pull PK Missile off quite
easily on this one.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pirate Ship [HF09]
For this stage try to push your opponent towards the left
of the screen. When they try to recover, hit them with
a PK Thunder towards the bottom of the front. If they
get close enough to it, they will be keelhauled and
be KO'd.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Norfair [HF10]
Try to use the platforms to help get the most out of
your U-Smash and when the lava comes, knock them into it.
This will cause them damage and send them flying across
the screen. Also use those wonderful push back attacks
to keep opponents out of the lave shelter when it appears.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Frigate Orpheon [HF11]
Not much to say about this one. Just try to use normal
strategies on this stage.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Yoshi's Island [HF12]
That platform in the middle just looks perfect for
your U-Smash. Try to keep opponents off the stage as
normal and you should be fine.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Halberd [HF13]
The moving platform is much like Yoshi's Island
so look at that strategy for that part. On the other
try to knock opponents into the ship's attacks when they
happen and use PK Missile while this wide stage is
still around.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Lylat Cruise [HF14]
This stage is similiar to Battlefield, but with an
added bonus, it tilts. This will allow you to use
your D-Smash and your U-Smash to great effect, use
it to your advantage.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pokemon Stadium 2 [HF15]
This strategy will be split into the four different
transformations.
Normal- Treat it like Battlefield, just minus the
middle platform.
Electric- Try to stay in the center and attack
those on treadmills. Not much to do so wait it out.
Ice- On ice you can charge your attacks while sliding
(only S-Smash). So do that and smack your
opponents around a bit.
Ground- See that mound of dirt? It's sloped, use it.
Flying- Lucas's aerials aren't the best so try
to attack your opponents when they land.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Spear Pillar [HF16]
This stage is split into two and each section will serve
a purpose. Stay on top if you want to kill your opponents easier.
Stay on the bottom if you want to be a bit safer from opponents
push back. PK Missile should be viable for both sections.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Port Town Aero Dive [HF17]
Treat the main platform like a mini-Final Destination.
Another section will also be flat so treat it like
a bigger Final Destination with edges with grips.
Another will be at a U-Bend, this is where you want to get
your U-Smash and D-Smash in. All together this isn't a
great stage for Lucas.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Castle Siege [HF18]
This stage has the sections so I will talk about each.
First- With slopes and platforms your up and down smashes
should really help.
Second- Yet again slopes and platforms, you know what
to do by now with those.
Third- This will not be your friend. It is itty-bitty
and flat. Keep your opponents away and try to hold
your ground.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Wario Ware, INC [HF19]
The main stage is wonderful with it's platforms,
use those smashes. The micro game stages are all flat,
try to fulfill them all just for the bonus.
I never could resist hitting my opponents
with the twig on the hold still
micro game though.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Distant Planet [HF20]
The left side is Mushroomy Kingdom material and it is a slope,
use your U-Smash there. You also have all those platforms on
the side. You also can knock you opponents into the
'fierce creature' when it comes around.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Smashville [HF21]
A large moving platform, sounds like perfect U-Smash
material. PK Missile should work well her too. Not much
else to say, it is like Final Destination but with less
annoying edges and platform.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
New Pork City [HF22]
Curse these large stages, they throw all strategy out the
window! Try to stay near your opponents, large gaps will
cause long matches. Use some smashes, who knows, you might
knock them into the Ultimate Chimera.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Summit [HF23]
Use that ice sliding technique mention on
Pokemon Stadium two and other than that watch out for
the fish and use those platforms. Attacking from
underneath is always fun.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Skyworld [HF24]
These aren't nice platforms. Use your S-Smash seeing
as your U-Smash will not help enough unless you destroy
the floor. PK Fire might help with since it pushes
opponents to the side like the S-Smash.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
75 m [HF25]
Once again another big stage... but it has
Mushroomy Kingdom edges, use those to it's fullest.
You might want to try knocking opponents into
DK as well.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Mario Bros. [HF26]
On this stage your opponents will take revenge on you
for all the push back you have commited against them,
through crabs and turtles. If you hit a crab or turtle
they will turn into an...item? that you can pick up
and toss for crazy push back. This stage also has the
Mushroomy Kingdom that we have come to love, though they
might come back to bite you on this stage.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Flat Zone 2 [HF27]
Once again those edges. The sections have people? that
if you touch will cause you to be pushed back a bit, so
hit opponents into them. There will be platforms so use
those. There will also be plent of chances to use PK Missile.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Picto Chat [HF28]
This stage is wide so PK Missile time. When the sketches
appear see if there are hazards (like the cart the rolls
on the U-Bend) if so then hit your opponents into them.
If there sketches that just create platforms use them
to your advantage.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Hanenbow [HF29]
This stage is made up of all platforms, so you may
want to use your U-Smash. There also are the
Mushroomy Kingdom edges since there are no edges
you can grab, use those edges.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Shadow Moses Island [HF30]
On this stage there are two possibilities. You can
try to destroy the towers so you can have access to the
Mushroomy Kingdom edges, or you can use your
U-Smash to send opponents off the top of the screen.
Either way works, so pick which one you prefer.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Green Hill Zone [HF31]
Can you say super slope? Use that slope! Use those
D-Smashes and U-smashes. Try to all ways hit the blue
balloon (which the name of what it is escapes me)
just because it never hurts to get some extra hits on
opponents. Other than that there is nothing else to
be said.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Temple [HF32]
Another big stage. Some areas you might want to fight are
the far left or right because they are the closest to the
edge. The bottom right because you could easily defend
yourself there, or the bottom left because it is hard
for you to die there. It doesn't matter where you
pick so once again choose what you prefer.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Yoshi's Island (Past) [HF33]
This stage has a slope and a Mushroomy Kingdom edge,
what else needs to be said?
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Jungle Japes [HF34]
Try to gain control of the left side, it makes it so they
can't use the river to help recover. Another tactic
could be to use the platform in the middle.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Onett [HF35]
The edges are back, so use them. Though those platforms
are mighy tempting. Choose which you prefer, the defensive
ot the offensive.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Corneria [HF36]
On this stage fight on the far left or right, I tend
to fight on the right because it is easier to hold
back attacks. It is also easy however to be knocked
into that wall and take heavy damage.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Rainbow Cruise [HF37]
Just try to knock your opponent off the screen. Left or
right, depending on which is closer because of the
moving screen. The are some parts where there are
Mushroomy Kingdom edges, use those.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Green Greens [HF38]
Pick the left or right for offensive, just knock them
with S-Smash or D-Smash, or the middle for defensive,
use U-Smash.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Big Blue [HF39]
Just try to stay off the track and knock your opponents
towards the left for the same reasons as Jungle Japes
but instead of a river it's a race track.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Brinstar [HF40]
Destroy the rope? that is holding the side platforms to
get a mini-slope and use it to your advantage. Other
than that just remember to dodge the lava.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pokemon Stadium [HF41]
Again like Pokemon Stadium 2 I will split strategies into
the transformations.
Normal- See Pokemon Stadium 2
Grass- There are some platforms, use them.
Fire- Again some platforms, use them. Though you
may wish to be on the left side of the tree to
make it easier to hold your position.
Water- Platforms on the right, attack from underneath if
they get low. On the windfill on the left you can use
it for the temporary slopes it creates.
Rock- See fire but replace tree with rock wall.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
How to Fight Solo [HTFO]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Fighting solo with Lucas is easy because he has moves that can
attack all around him and can keep opponents away.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
One on One [OONO]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
To fight one on one you simply need to read the strategies above and
choose to be offensive or defensive accordingly.
Offensive- Keep your opponent constantly being push backed or sent
flying. Smash attacks are best for this type of fighting.
Defensive- Wait for your opponent to come to you and hit them
with PK attacks including PK Missile. If the opponent get to
close for comfort or you want to finish them off, try to him
them with a smash.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Free for All [FRFA]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
This will be more challenging than one on one. Try to take one
opponent out at a time and if you find yourself surrounded
make use of your U-Smash and D-Smash.
Offensive- Smack your opponents around with your smashes, use
PK Missile to inflict massive damage to as many opponents as
possible. PK Freeze can also hit multiple opponents.
Defensive- Try to get one person alone to take down or try
to hit the others who are fighting each other with PK
Glacier or Freeze.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
How to Fight in Teams [HTFT]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Fighting with teams leaves much free interpretation but here are
some ideas you could use.
Offensive- Have you and your partner single out one opponent or
both and attack them with a volley of smashes. Someone with low
push back but high damage output like Metaknight could help
you deal damage while you finish them off.
Defensive- Stay behind you partner and ready PK Missile or
use other PK attacks to help your partner. A stronger, maybe
slower, character like Bowser could use this to much
effect.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
How to Fight Bosses [HTFB]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Petey Piranha [HB01]
-Focus on one cage with your Nair and dodge his swings and his
flying then falling attack.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Porky [HB02]
-Try to stay above him and use your D-A aerial attack. Also try
to dodge his lasers and other various attacks.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Master Hand [HB03]
-Dodge attacks and use Nair and D-A aerial.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Duon [HB04]
-Yet again dodge and D-A aerial or Nair.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Crazy Hand [HB05]
-Same as Master Hand.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Galleom [HB06]
-Use U-A attack under his mask and dodge attacks.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Ridley [HB07]
-Any aerial attacks and dodge.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Meta-Ridley [HB08]
-Same as Ridley except the added bonus of when he holds onto the
back of ship where you should use your D-Smash to really beat him up.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Rayquaza [HB09]
-Use your side smash, charge it all the way up when he switches
sides and goes off screen for a bit. Also dodge those easy attacks.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Tabuu [HB10]
-Use aerial attacks, maybe PK Missile if he holds still
long enough. Also try to dodge those attacks, they have high
push back, and that is no good for Lucas.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Trophies [TPHY]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Lucas (Classic Trophy)
The younger of twin brothers living in Tazumili Village
in the Nowhere Islands. He's a kind boy who can
communicate with animals, but he's shy and never
really got over the tragedy that struck his mother. He fights
a warped dictatorship, hunts the Seven Needles, and
crosses swords with his missing brother, Claus.
In the end the young boy with psychic PSI
powers grows up.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
PK Starstorm (Lucas) -Final Smash
Lucas's Final Smash. He pulls a large group of stars from
the sky and sends them smashing down among his enemies,
causing damage to on and all.
In Mother 3, this move was used by Lucas's
traveling companion, Princess Kumatora.
As Ness learned this move from Poo,
Princess Kumatora taught Lucas when
he learned he would appear in
Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
