GameCube

"Nearing the end of the console war , nintendos system makes an excellent companion but is not enough to be your only system"

INTRODUCTION
Enter Nintendo's Gamecube. This system was made by Nintendo specifically for one main purpose, quality eye catching gaming entertainment! Gamecube uses the latest technology and continues Nintendo's legacy with popular games from the past like Zelda, Super Mario Bros, Metroid and many many more!

GAMECUBE , IN MY OPINION.
The gamecube is nintendos offering for this current generation of consoles. Nearing its fading away , let me say one thing - if you are a hardcore gamer who has yet to experience the gamecube , shut down - no , just unplug your computer now. You need this. But do YOU do average every gamer wh enjoys his [or her] games every so often as a breakaway? , got some spare cash and another console? - pick this up. Buying a gamecube to fill the console devoid space? , dont bother it wont fill it.

The gamecube is a prime example of taking it for what it is.

Truth be told , the gamecube has little to offer but what it does have to offer is superb games , games like resident eveil 4 [one of the reasons you might be buying the cube in 2005] and metroid prime. What is not showing on the gamecube radar? - a dvd player , a cd player and MORE of these great games.

ABOUT THE GAMECUBE
The GameCube is the first Nintendo video game system to use a disc-based medium rather than cartridges for its games.Though it looks like a toy, don't be fooled: the Nintendo GameCube is a powerful video game console [A tiny bit behind ol' xbox and much further ahead than the ps2]. The system also comes with four built-in controller ports, so you can easily plug in extra controllers and let friends join in for the multiplayer games--it's even got a built-in handle so you can easily move it to a friend's house. It comes with two memory card slots for saving your progress through games [though admittedly you might not want to try and play too many games at once because memory card capacity is quite small]. Also , this console is not your online console or your first person shooter console - so there.

ITS CONTROLLER
The gamecube controller is a hybrid of both the ps1 and n64 controllers. The standard GameCube Controller features eleven buttons. It features an analog stick on the left, with a smaller D-pad below it. On the right are four buttons; a very large green "A" button in the centre, a smaller red "B" button to the lower left corner, an "X" button to the right and a "Y" button above the "A" button. On the right, there is a yellow "C" stick, opposite the D-pad, which has a similar function to the right stick on a Playstation. The start/pause button is in the middle of the controller. On top, there are three shoulder buttons. The "L" and "R" buttons are moulded to fit your index fingers, and there is also a smaller blue "Z" button on the right, above the "R" button. Some unofficial controllers also have a "turbo" button, but this is not supported by many games. At first feels tough on the hands with its big triggers , small d pad and rather hard analog sticks , but dont worry , it will naturally become your best friend while playing games , speaking of which.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT - THE GAMES!!!....
SOME OF THE BEST GAMES - RESIDENT EVIL 4
This game is such a departure from the series' heritage that the only familiarity gamers will have with it is through protagonist Leon S. Kennedy, who was first introduced as a greenhorn police officer that spent his first day on the job handling the outbreak in Resident Evil 2.

METROID PRIME
One of the most daring characters in video-game history is back and primed to battle the legendary Space Pirates in Nintendo's stunning first-person epic Metroid Prime. Samus must thread through wreckage, elude spark-spewing power lines and blast scuttling creatures before descending to even greater challenges on the mysterious planet below. Adding a unique third-person twist is the morph ball. At the touch of a button, Samus rolls up into a ball to activate switches, navigate cramped passages and more.

One of the defining aspects of the Nintendo GameCube is the rejuvenated relationship between Nintendo and its licensees. Unlike previous generations in which Nintendo was seen by some as bullying its third-party game developers, Nintendo openly sought game-development aid on the Nintendo GameCube.

BUY THIS CONSOLE IF....
Your bored waiting for another console.
Youre a hardcore gamer.
Youve got some spare cash.
Its cheap , so hey - its okay to get it just for one game.

DONT BUY IT IF...
You dont have any other consoles AT ALL , buy the xbox or ps2 instead.

Score - 9/10
Loses a point for not having enough - gains 9 for having excellent of what it has.

Hope this helped.
