"Sega has made a good job !"

The first reason I bought Dreamcast was because there are a lot of my favourite games made for this console, and it was cheaper than Playstation2 although now I also intend to buy PS2 soon. When I began to use Dreamcast, I felt that the game makers were right to make games for this console.

Design 8/10
In the first glance at this console, it doesn't seem modern or good-looking. I don't know why Sega could design its surface like an ordinary toy more than a modern system. Playstation2 of Sony is better at this.

Graphic 10/10
This is the best graphic I have ever seen. I don't think that the great graphic of Playstation2 could entirely overcome Dreamcast. The colors are bright and clear that makes the games more real and lively. Those survival horror games like Resident Evil Code Veronica or fighting games like Dead or Alive 2 would show us the true games and the true style of Dreamcast graphic only. I have never liked the previous consoles of Sega. But the graphic of Dreamcast made me think again.

Sound 10/10
This is can't be criticized strictly. The sound is really clearlier and lively than the previous consoles. It's not too big but not to small either. This is a good balance.

Feature 9/10
Dreamcast can be used to play online. Although it doesn't have DVD drive as Playstation2, I think it's too enough for ordinary players. But however, it's still a serious lack of Sega for this new feature when they have many enemies with DVD drive such as Playstation2 or X-Box. Beside, I could also use a boot disc to play games of Playstation with better graphic. This is really great either.

Loading times 10/10
It's enough, not very long.

Games 9/10
Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 Nemesis, Resident Evil Code Veronica, Shenmue, etc. Those are great hits. Even they are not much as the games for Playstation2, I don't regret for having bought it just because I could play some of my favourite games.

Overall : 9/10
Sega has made a good job. This war of consoles now is really interesting. There would be more modern systems such as X-Box or GameCube. But I would like Dreamcast to survive long and have more good games just because I like it.
